From a smiley face sticker to a pony with a hot pink mane, your little gimmies are always asking for something.
Teach them the joy of giving back with a Milk + Bookies birthday party. The L.A.-based nonprofit — which teaches kids to help less fortunate children through the gift of books — has created a way for you to celebrate their mission with DIY parties at home.
On the org’s website you’ll find directions (starting with bring a book for donation instead of a gift), a free downloadable invitation template, and a box with all the components to make giving fun (stickers, bookmarks, and bookplates).
When guests arrive, have them inscribe the inside cover with a special message, hand out “I Donated” stickers, and then let them party on — end of story.
Available online at milkandbookies.org. Directions and invitation download, free. Complete kit, $30.
