You’re so stressed about your holiday party that Jewel’s veggie tray is beginning to look appetizing. (Ew. It’s not.)
You need help — and we’ve got just the lady: WitchPilgrim (a.k.a. Marisa Muñoz).
After honing her holistic approach to food at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York, Muñoz moved to Chicago, where her love of art, entertaining, and culinary tradition have come together in seasonally inspired spreads that are installation-like in their beauty.
Whimsical preparations include purple carrot cake with spiced creme fraiche and chamomile blossoms, beet-pickled deviled eggs, squash and goat’s milk feta muffins, and chocolate coconut nests with smoked Maldon salt.
Muñoz even brings her own serving pieces, so the presentation tells a cohesive story. In the end, the setup resembles an altar of delicious digestibles. A jewel indeed.
