Life’s been dull since the epic snowstorm. Lift your spirits with a trip to Epoch’s new pop-up flower shop.
A few years back, Epoch moved from bustling State Street to a by-appointment-only studio in the West Loop. Through mid-March, you can swing by the sunny Lincoln Park storefront and pick up bunches of blossoms.
Tulips overnighted from Holland pop in pink, yellow, orange, and red. Washington State cherry blossoms and quince branches (bursting with pink and white flowers) are long lasting and add structure to any arrangement. Exotic leaves, forsythia, hydrangeas, and eucalyptus are also available. Everything has Epoch’s high quality, but prices are accessible ($8-$30).
On warmer days, the staff sells street side, a la European flower markets. It may even stick around ’til Mother’s Day — if business blooms.
Epoch Pop-Up Shop, 1211 West Webster Avenue, between Racine and Magnolia Avenues.
