Spring has sprung (hopefully for good). Celebrate growth at Pistil & Vine, a new, so-charming-it-hurts Bucktown flower shop.
Owner Megan Musschoot is warm, engaging, and helpful without being heavy-handed, and her thirteen years of experience are palpable.
Love is literally in the air: The verdant ivy snaking across the ceiling is a gift Musschoot gave to her boyfriend — now husband — eight years ago. High-quality varietals are flown in daily but are local and organic whenever possible.
Musschoot likes mixing colors and textures: a rainbow of tulips, fragrant potted herbs, purple hydrangeas, blue anemones, and branch-like brunias nest in mason jars.
Grab a bunch to go or ask her to whip up a custom arrangement. She’ll wrap it in recycled paper and send you on your way.
She does weddings, too — for when you’re ready to put down roots.
Pistil & Vine, 1924 North Damen Avenue, between Cortland and Homer Streets (773-698-7287 or pistilandvine.com).
