In your wildest dreams, an adorable, talented chef comes to your kitchen, knives and groceries in hand, and prepares a healthy, three-course meal. Then she does your dishes.
Kendra Peterson from Drizzle Kitchen is (almost) too good to be true. With degrees in food science and nutrition and five years’ experience in Williams-Sonoma’s cooking department, Peterson is a rare breed: a healthy chef.
By day, she prepares meals for families with allergies or dietary restrictions; she moonlights as a cooking instructor for groups big and small. Peterson preaches a daily detox diet (clean foods, nothing artificial) and customizes hearty, satisfying menus that won’t weigh you down.
The Detox Dinner is divine: white bean, zucchini, tomato, and basil salad with truffle oil; quinoa with roasted veggies and flaxseed lemon vinaigrette; vegan fudge. While she preps, Peterson quotes everyone from Mark Bittman to the FDA.
Talk about a wake-up call.
