What:
John Tesar reopens the twelve-person communal table adjacent to his popular burger joint. The menu includes Gulf crab gratin on grilled toast with herbed hollandaise, charred baby octopus with Texas ruby grapefruit frisee, and potato gnocchi with braised short ribs and seasonal veggies.
Why: The produce, meat, poultry, and fish come from nearby sustainable farms, ranches, and fisheries.
When: Thurs.-Sat., 6:30 & 8:30 p.m.

Rockstar Whoopie Pies
What: A funky couple bakes not-your-usual treats ($3 each or $30 for twelve) and sells them around town.
Why: Flavors like Shout at the Devil (devil’s food cake with dark chocolate ganache and Godiva chocolate liqueur buttercream) and Ace of Spades (vanilla cake with homemade marshmallow fluff and chocolate ganache rolled in crushed graham crackers).
When: Sat., 9 a.m.-2 p.m.; anytime by request.

What:
After a lazy summer, We Are 1976 kicks off fall by showcasing Texas illustrators and photographers Leah Duncan, Roger Peters, Kyle Steed, and Brandon Thibodeaux.
Why: We love the shop’s art-doesn’t-have-to-cost-your-401(k) mantra — prints start at $20.
When: Fri., 7 p.m.

Carly Allen-Martin and Megan Adams
What:
The ladies unload their latest designs (wildly colorful, abstract oil paintings for Allen-Martin; limited-edition textile products for Adams) alongside free seafood, sangria, and wine.
Why: Ten percent of sales benefits Dallas Bethlehem Center, a nonprofit providing encouraging, educational environments to children from South Dallas.
When: Sat., 7:30-10 p.m.

The Dallas Flea
What:
Score handmade and vintage clothing, jewelry, cowboy boots, housewares, furniture, artwork, popcorn, and more from the curated indoor market with 70-plus Texas creatives.
Why: The show spills outside with a food truck, old school bus, and wagon selling gourmet bites, retro threads, and original graphic tees and prints.
When: Sat., 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
