Art of Knox
What: A sliver of the neighborhood becomes an urban festival with interactive art, food from nearby restos, demonstrations from local retailers, and music by Live 80 and Special Edition Band.
Why: Raffle prizes support Friends of the Katy Trail.

Zio Cecio Cucina Italiana
What: A new laid-back, Italian dinner spot dishing Sardinian-inspired appetizers, pasta, risotto, and wood-fired pizzas.

Pilates for Pink at the Park
What: Uptown studio Classic Pilates hosts two outdoor classes. Donations benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and the highest donation scores a private session with one of the studio’s owners.
Why: Stay for a reception and screening of the documentary, Eve Gentry and the Power of Pilates, which tells the story of a survivor rehabilitated by Pilates.

What: Lace up your athletic shoes and trek down the scenic trails of Lake Grapevine to affirm Back on My Feet, a nonprofit that engages the homeless in running to build confidence, strength, and self-esteem.
Why: Put the shoe on the other foot.

Spa Habitat
What: To celebrate its fourth location, the Dallas-based retreat gives 35-minute massages and facials for $59.
Why: You could use a little R&R on the cheap.
