Your last roadside treasure was missing a cushion and smelled like a dog.
Time to sniff out The Urban Cottage Airstream, a new mobile furniture showroom steered by local craftster Ida Gleaton. Nicknamed Lucy, the traveling boutique carries an ever-changing mix of furniture Gleaton refurbished by hand.
Before hitting the road, the vintage camper was gutted floor to ceiling (and covered in retro wallpaper) to make room for shabby-chic buffets, tea carts, and antique trunks-cum-coffee tables, as well as goods from Southern Fried Paper (art prints, stationery) and Salvagenation’s found objects (don’t miss the retro metal letters).
To shop the Airstream, email for an appointment or visit Lucy at this weekend’s White Rock Local Market.
We’d suggest hightailing it.
Available Saturday, 8 a.m.-1 p.m., at White Rock Local Market, 702 North Buckner Boulevard. For a private appointment, email firstname.lastname@example.org. To see styles or shop online, go to theurbancottagedallas.com.
