You carry the weight of the world on your shoulders.
Ditch that bottomless pit you call a purse (it’s a handbag, not a trash receptacle) for one by Audra Janak.
The local designer’s debut collection is made of light, supple leather and nods to 20th-century art (howdy, Mondrian).
The two silhouettes have strong architectural lines, loads of pockets, color-blocked patterns, and a fresh fall palette of rust, camel, sky blue, and black. Although handmade in New York, the styles tip their straps to our state with their small-town Texas names.
Janak thought big with function: The Hardin tote looks good on the arm or shoulder; the Pryor goes from clutch to cross-body in a flash.
So there’s nothing you can’t handle.
