You can’t sling a coffee cup in this town without hitting another new indie java shop.
Case in point: Mudsmith, which opened on Lower Greenville yesterday.
Brook Humphries — the hip chick behind Barcadia and Acme F&B — has outfitted her latest with a pair of custom La Marzocco espresso machines churning out velvety sips, Four Barrel artisan beans baked on a vintage German roaster, rustic wood tables, old maps and anatomy charts, and even a little taxidermy. (Thank you, deer; we will have another.)
Further proving this ain’t no Starbucks: eight craft beers, four wines on tap, Roots juices, and house-made pastries. And the jalapeno and cheddar meatloaf?
Give it a shot.
