The Formaggio Stands Alone

Mozzarella Company's Cheese-Making Class

So you’ve got this really cheesy fantasy.

No, for real. Like, a fantasy involving cheese. Let’s just say it involves a really hot Italian dude, three bottles of Chianti, and heaps of homemade mozzarella.

Step one toward making that dream a reality? Taking a cheese-making class and learning the ancient art of making mozzarella and ricotta from scratch at Mozzarella Company.

Start things off with a behind-the-scenes factory tour. Then throw on an apron and stretch your mozzarella to perfection, reserving the extra whey for an unforgettable ricotta. You’ll leave with plenty of delicious fresh cheese — and, more importantly, the skills to make more anytime you like. Only 12 spots are available for the session, so you might want to give a little more thought to signing up now.

And a little less to your imaginary love life.

Mozzarella Company, 2944 Elm Street, Deep Ellum (214-741-4072 or mozzco.com). Class is April 2 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.; $75.
