Edge of Reason
Razor’s Edge Barber Shop

In a world of metrosexuals, there’s something to be said for being a man’s man.
You know, the kind of guy who scoffs at pastels (it’s all denim and white tees), sneezes at sedans (go, pickup!), and laughs at emo bands (classic metal’s his speed).
But it’s always shocking to catch him getting a trim at a frou-frou, pink-neon-and-techno salon.
He needs to hit Razor’s Edge Barber Shop. Owners Mike and Bettye Cravens tailored the place as a gentle ode to male hair care, down to the old-school leather chairs and manly-living-room decor.
Cuts are done by seasoned barbers (i.e., no punks fresh out of beauty school) in styles either traditional (high and tight or flat top) or more modern (highlights). At the end of every cut, he’ll get a warm, lavender-scented face cloth to wipe his face and neck. He should try the 30-minute hot-towel shave with a straight or safety razor and warm lather while he’s at it.
The testosterone-friendly atmosphere will do wonders for his mannish mystique.
Even if his waxed eyebrows give him away.
