On the Flip Side

FlipClips Photo Books

She’s your best friend and she lives halfway across the country.

So you were thrilled when she sent 87 pictures from her engagement party. Pleased by the 142 honeymoon jpegs. Fine with the baby shower images.

But the 2041-and-counting pics of her kid are starting to create problems for your inbox.

Time to turn her on to FlipClips. They’re personalized versions of the flip books of yore, but rather than featuring a boring juggler or random cartoon, they are made from digital videos sent in by you, the customer.

First, upload 30 seconds of almost any format of digital video. Next, pick one of three sizes: Flip Books (great for camera phone images), Greeting Card (designed for mailing), or Story Book (for longer videos or DVDs). Lastly, choose a cover design and a title. They have custom covers for special occasions like gifts and weddings.

Now, instead of getting e-mailed 300 pictures of little Tommy’s first step, you can actually see him stand up and walk.

Or, for your own amusement, flip backward and watch him fall.

Available online at flipclips.com.
