Fighting over something at a sale? So beneath you.
Unless, of course, it’s a sample sale. Then you’re fully prepared to let fists (or hair or epithets) fly.
You’ll need to get the gloves ready for tomorrow morning, because Everett Parker is finally having a sample sale. It seems Erika Everett and Clair Parker, the duo behind the luxury brand, have gone their separate ways (though Everett will continue to design under the same well-known name, thank heavens). They agreed that a blowout sale would be the perfect opportunity to finish with the past and move into the future.
Expect samples and older seasonal merchandise (including items from last spring’s collection) like luxurious silk kimono tops with big butterfly sleeves, low-cut silk dresses with wooden-tooth clasps, and soft cotton wrap-front tops.
Because everything’s significantly discounted, you’ll pay much less than retail. Which is something to remember when you lose your grasp on that cashmere cami to the fierce-looking redhead with the killer side jab.
But at least you’ll know you put up a good fight.
December 17, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Ledoux Art Gallery, 2805 Allen Street, Uptown (215-502-7057). For questions, e-mail info@everettparker.com.
