Show and Sell
Art Is Art Consignment Studio

You’ve never been shy about giving someone your two cents.
But maybe you shouldn’t have told your sister that the way-too-contemporary canvas she painted for your birthday belonged in a loo (and not the Louvre).
Next time, try a more tactful tack: Send the hopeful artist to Art Is Art consignment studio. Owned by Carrie Stollings and Renata Holder, the mom-and-daughter team who ran the store’s erstwhile Greenville location, the new spot offers budding local artists (like Anthony Bolton, Greg Piazza, and Chris Babb) a place where they can exhibit — and eventually sell — their latest works.
Scouting is done through the duo’s MySpace page. What are they looking for? A funky, modern, abstract, or outside-the-box style.
Who knows? Sis’s life-size cats playing hopscotch under an orange sky just might make the cut.
And you’ll get one step closer to heaven by keeping your opinions to yourself.
Because, you know, it all adds up.
