Back in Black

Now that didn’t go over very well.

Still. How could you possibly have known the world wasn’t ready to accept your self-sustaining toilet planter as the next big thing?

If only you’d taken your cues from legendary Danish designer Anne Black. She’s well-known for her contemporary ceramic bowls, plates, and vases, but we’re dazzled by the understated elegance of her porcelain jewelry collection.

Black embellishes white porcelain discs with colorful silkscreen patterns of feminized geometric shapes (like dots, circles, and lines). The end result? A mod yet ethereal line that includes stately brooches, delicate earrings with gold or silver hoops, and necklaces that hang from matching silk thread.

And it’s all reasonably priced, to boot.

It’s downright inspirational.

So that’s how to keep a good idea afloat.
