Yum’s the Word

Jill Smith’s Yum Boxes

First, the whole Santa Claus thing. Then, the horrifying discovery that storks had absolutely nothing to do with your arrival in the world.

Some good news would not be unwelcome right about now.

So send it in a Yum Box. Houston stationer Jill Smith’s postable packages, containing brightly colored greeting cards and sweets (like Laffy Taffy, gum, tea bags), are proof that even though you can’t get something for nothing, you can still get candy in the mail.

Seal it all up with the included piece of whimsical wraparound adhesive, and with just 63ยข worth of postage, the Yum Box is on its way. For those particularly disappointing times, you might even send one to yourself.

Just don’t forget to brush your teeth afterward.

As you may have noticed, the tooth fairy doesn’t come around much anymore.

Available at Paperie and Co., 5331 East Mockingbird Lane, at Mockingbird Station (214-821-8811); online at jillsmith.com.
