Trust us: No one’s getting into the Ghost Bar anytime soon. (Maybe try back again when, oh, let’s see, hell freezes over.)
Which is all the more reason to head over to the new Beckley Brewhouse, opening today in the out-of-the-way area now known as NoBA (North of Bishop Arts).
Situated in a former crack house (no joke), the cozy space has been totally renovated and fully equipped with the latest technological toys — free Wi-Fi access, laptop outlets, flat-screen televisions, and MP3 player connections.
Sip on a drink like a coffee-centric martini made by a friendly barista behind the curved blue tile counter. Then peruse its collection of take-a-book, leave-a-book titles. There’s also a kitchen turning out dishes like pizzas, burgers, and a surprise weekly special.
Of course, on the trendiness scale, Beckley Brewhouse can’t compete with some of the hotspots around town.
But when it comes to getting in, you’ll have more than a ghost of a chance.
