This One’s a Cooper

Back in the day, that trellis under your window sure came in handy for sneaking out of the house.

Minus, of course, the rose thorns in your clothes, scraped arms, and five-foot falls.

Trelise Cooper will have you on surer footing. The New Zealand designer’s collection has a bad-girl-slash-romantic edge. (Sound like anyone you know?)

Try mixing the wallpaper-like patterned dresses, sheer tops, and Victorian coats. The On the Ran Tan shirt — a full-length tunic adorned with white ruffles — makes a sexy statement. For something more austere, slip on the Ivy League blouse with a pair of gold-buttoned tuxedo pants.

And once the weather turns cooler (fingers crossed), look for wool blazers with geometric prints, supple cream-colored coats, and balloon-sleeve jackets.

You’re sure to find a perfect look for fall.

Not, er, falling.
