It Had to Be Veuve
Veuve and Nine7Two Lounge Open

Light rock. Near beer. Slug racing.
The old better-safe-than-sorry route is strewn with disappointments.
So buck up and take a chance on something new: the recently opened Veuve. Named after the famous champagne, the enormous (10,000 square feet) Addison restaurant features plenty of room to sample daring appetizers like the lobster-stuffed polenta bun or king crab custard and dried figs with a plantain green salad.
Or simply skip ahead to brazen entrees such as a five-pepper rib eye, ancho-braised wild boar shank, or rose-marinated salmon. But we recommend ending every meal with the decadent Godiva chocolate mousse.
Afterward, stretch your newfound adventurous spirit in the restaurant’s very own Nine7Two lounge. Gaze at the eighteen-foot-tall waterfalls or order a six-foot-tall champagne bottle just for yourself.
Of course, at that point, no one’s likely to accuse you of being the sensible type.
Sorry to burst your bubble.
Veuve and Nine7Two, 5100 Beltline Road, suite 410, Addison (972-788-1928).
