Good to Disco
Lift Lounge Opens

It’s the goldfish-filled platform shoes that give you away.
That and your collection of KC and The Sunshine Band albums. All of which only proves you and Obar owner Tim McEneny share one common belief: Disco doesn’t suck.
Need proof? Just see Lift Lounge, his newly opened spot that’s billing itself as a modern-day discotheque. Located where Medici used to be, this upscale watering hole includes way-hipper-than-you DJs spinning the hottest mixes, bottle service at each of the fourteen tables, and five enclosed cabanas to keep VIPs comfortably ensconced in their own boogie wonderlands.
But don’t expect any ’70s flashbacks. Thanks to the work of interior designer Larry Traxler, the vibe’s more contemporary-chic than “Le Freak.” But feel free to ponder the deeper disco meaning behind the lounge’s dramatic deep purple hallway.
Though, personally, we think you should be dancing.
Yeah.
