French Twist
BLT Steak Opens

You know your chanterelles from your shiitakes, your Bolognese from your bearnaise.
But do you know your BLT from your BLT?
BLT Steak opens tonight. And its acronym doesn’t stand for the pedestrian (if scrumptious) sandwich, but rather for Bistro Laurent Tourondel. The Dallas outpost of the French restaurateur’s growing empire of Gallic-inflected American steakhouses is sure to be the talk of the local foodie scene.
Inside the Michael Bagley-designed room, relax amid lush suede banquettes and rich Macassar ebony tables and enjoy the chef’s signature gruyere-topped popovers before delving into the beef- and seafood-heavy entree selection. Dessert includes a seductive crepe souffle with passion fruit sauce.
Get in the door now; soon it’ll be a mob scene.
This guy’s got more accolades than you can shake a baguette at.
BLT Steak, 5301 Alpha Road, Village on the Green (972-726-9200 or bltsteak.com).
