The Big O

You learned many things during your semester abroad in Italy.

Italian alas, was not one of them.

Luckily, palate trumps patois at Knox/Henderson’s new Italian eatery, Villa-O, which quietly opened this week. Co-owners Robert Colombo and Billy Solomon (both of Trece and The Club) use organic ingredients to create a menu inspired by the Isle of Capri.

Nautical specialties range from surf and turf and wild fish to a variety of Neapolitan pizzas and handmade pasta combinations. Choose from a variety of mouth-watering sauces like the garlic- and herb-infused olive oil or a traditional vodka tomato.

To wash it all down, choose from 50 wines available by the bottle or glass — or stick with their H2O, made tasty with their high-tech water purification system.

They offer desserts like cappuccino ice cream pie served with espresso sauce and almond biscotti cheesecake to sweeten the deal.

How’s that for speaking your language?
