Pump It Up
Pumps Boutique

Your BFF: Hey, you could really use some new wheels.
You: I can’t afford a car right now.
BFF: But you’re wearing $600 Louboutins!
You: I needed those!
Sound familiar? Next time you need a shoe fix, head over to Pumps.
Sure, the downtown McKinney boutique carries collections from high-dollar designers like Loeffler Randall and Bettye Muller, but the bulk of its shelves are stocked with fashion-forward looks for less. Frye, Faryl Robin, and Dolce Vita are just a few labels you can scoop up on a shoestring. The shop aims to offer footwear (handbags, jewelry, and hats, too) that is affordable and unique, unlike the mall variety.
And it takes its anti-department-store mentality seriously: It’s housed in an historic building with exposed brick walls, concrete floors, and a vintage tin ceiling. It’s far from Neimans — literally.
Which is just where you need to be right now.
