Snap Judgment

Most of your photos show you either wasted with a beer bottle in hand or stiff as a board posing with your family in the park. Let’s not even talk about those ’80s glamour shots in the red leather jacket.

Time to take a shot with Alicia Stepp Woody.

Although she can certainly make a traditional portrait (no shoulder pads, please), her real talents lie in high-concept pics that play up atmosphere, shadows, and color. The result is a slightly surreal look that mixes David LaChapelle’s edginess with the intimate, off-the-cuff style of a paparazzo.

The photos are personal yet always fun and playful. Kind of like the ones in your college photo album.

Minus the glassy-eyed stare.
