Earth Girls Are Easy
Lynn Wilkes Armstrong Ceramics

You’re like a bull in a china shop. That’s exactly why you don’t have any china — or breakables, for that matter.
Time to smooth out those moves, klutzy.
Lynn Wilkes Armstrong’s earthenware ceramics are worth the work. The organically shaped pieces — bowls, platters, teapots, soap dishes — are textured with vintage lace that the local artist scores from around the world (Tuscany, Portobello Road).
From curvy mermaid-tail vases to sea-inspired trays, her works are whimsical yet earthy thanks to subdued, neutral tones. (Literally, too: The ceramics are made from electric fire kilns using 100 percent wind power.)
Since her unique method is done by hand, no two items are alike. Which means if you break one, you can’t replace it.
Better be on your best behavior.
