Wine and Dine
Cork Tasting Menu

Cankles. Bad eyesight. Unruly body hair. All things to blame your mother for.
And let’s not forget your pathetic alcohol tolerance. You can barely throw back a beer without groping the nearest set of legs.
Thankfully, West Village wine shop Cork just added a tasting menu to pair with its 700-plus bottle selection so you can stomach your next flight of shiraz.
Cork carries wines from around the world, but it kept the cheese list local with choices (smoked scamorza, goat caciotta with ancho chiles) from Texas artisans like Mozzarella Company and Lucky Layla Farms.
There are small plates, too, from cured meats (carved in-house) with table wafers and olives to hummus topped with feta, olives, and warm pita. For those with a sweet tooth, the desserts don’t disappoint.
Perhaps you and Mom can split one.
