Do the Mambo
Twenty2 Lounge Opens

When it comes to happy hour, Mico Rodriguez is your hero.
The Mambo Taxi? Yep, that’s his invention. A hefty chunk of your paychecks (and Saturday mornings) suffer the impact of his delicious but deadly drinks.
Well, the man behind Mi Cocina and Taco Diner has just opened Twenty2, an intimate full-bar lounge in The Shops at Legacy.
Just like his other offerings, the Plano watering hole serves his Mexican signatures, from top-shelf margaritas to appetizers from next-door neighbor Taco Diner (a custom bites menu is in the works). The concept also crosses borders with international offerings like Cuban mojitos and a contemporary interior inspired by Tokyo’s Ginza district.
But it’s the resort-style patio, which packs a crowd on the weekend thanks to swanky seats and a live DJ, that just may be the locale’s biggest buzz.
At least until you suck down a couple of cocktails.
