A Firm Stance
RockStar Fitness Camp

In these triple-digit temps, the last thing on your mind is working out.
Unfortunately, your bum is the one taking the real heat.
Firm things up again with RockStar Fitness, a new workout camp at Pulse Fitness downtown. The local company offers a cool alternative to your rare, but sticky, Katy Trail routine.
The unisex classes, which run three days a week, combine resistance, cardio, and stability training. But what really sets them apart are the poolside location and live DJ spinning energetic tunes so that you don’t skip a beat.
Classes are sold in fifteen-session packages for $180. Your first time is free — so you get a feel for things before taking the financial plunge.
But hopefully that’s not the biggest perk.
For long, anyway.
Available at Pulse Fitness Club, 300 North Akard Street, 8th floor pool deck (214-280-1708 or rockstarfitcamps.com). Classes Mondays and Wednesdays, 6:30 p.m.; Saturdays, 10 a.m. ![]()
