Cheesy Does It

Scardello Artisan Cheese Opens

When somebody asks who cut the cheese, the answer is usually you. (And it’s stinky.)

But go ahead and point the finger at Scardello Artisan Cheese, the new specialty store that stocks 120 slice-to-order varieties imported from all over the world.

Gourmet crackers, jelly, and salami are also up for grabs, along with wines specially selected to pair for the perfect snack attack. Although most items are European, Scardello has mixed in some local Texas fare like Village Baking Company breads.

And just like the bites, the boutique has an old-world vibe (think exposed brick accents, a pressed tin ceiling), and there are tables inside perfect for enjoying a glass of vino and a plate of fromage.

And we’re not pulling your finger.

Scardello Artisan Cheese, 3511 Oak Lawn Avenue (214-219-1300 or scardellocheese.com).
