So Fresh ’n’ So Clean

Your nickname isn’t Salsa for nothing. You would drink the stuff for breakfast if it came in a cute little to-go bottle.

Paint the town red at Jorge’s Tex-Mex Cafe in One Arts Plaza. Fresh is the name of the game at the new restaurant, from the homemade salsa to the made-to-order margaritas.

The family-run business has decades of experience preparing authentic Tex-Mex. But instead of serving unhealthy fare, the menu takes a light twist on the traditionally heavy food with dishes like the grilled (not fried) chili relleno.

Word has it that the homemade chile con queso is the best in town if you prefer a meatier dish. And if you’re craving dessert, opt for the Ice Cream Burrito or more calorie-conscious Cafe de la Oya (coffee fresh brewed with cinnamon).

But knowing you, just another bowl of salsa will do.
