Chasing Harry Winston was so last season.
Now, to the next hot pursuit: planning the nuptials.
Pen Pals
Like your gown, your invites must be couture. Try Hardy & True (Paperie & Co., 5331 East Mockingbird Lane, suite 170; 214-821-8811), a new local line that lets you customize everything from hues and fonts to patterns and card stock. Don’t miss the popular pocket style that has a snazzy flap closure for hiding response, menu, and direction cards.
Let Them Eat Cake
Créme de la Créme’s (6511 East Lancaster Avenue, Fort Worth; 817-492-8888) signature rolled fondant and buttercream cakes are pure eye candy. And they taste good, too. The catering company uses only 100 percent real butter and no artificial flavorings or fillings. Tasting tip: The amaretto is backflip worthy.
Head of the Class
Feel like a VIP at the new Sua’Vizar Salon (977 Highway 121, suite 120; 214-383-9747), which has a back room suite and private entrance for bride-to-be consultations. On the big day, owner Amy Martinez comes to you to recreate the do. Love a full-bodied look? Try her signature temporary hair extensions.
Picture Perfect
Your memories are in good hands with F8Studio (972-669-2274). The three-shutterbug team is known for capturing the chicest candid shots in town, as well as for having a wicked touch when it comes to black and white.
Da Bomb
Lush (13350 Dallas Parkway, suite 2345; 972-386-5874) just opened at the Galleria Dallas. Soothe prewedding jitters with its new limited-edition White Wedding bath bomb, which blends jasmine, rose, ylang-ylang, and bergamot essential oils. The confetti-filled treat also makes a cheap ’n’ chic party favor.
Get Dressed
It’s just not a wedding without head bling. Warren Barrón Bridal (53 Highland Park Village; 214-526-8400) now carries headpieces, veils, hair jewelry, and brooches by Homa Bridal. November 6-8, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., the shop will host a Lela Rose trunk show featuring new looks by the Dallas native.
The Write Stuff
Using a planner only on the big day? Let Write Selection (314 Preston Royal Village; 214-750-0531) help with the rest. From tabletop goods to invites, the cute boutique has you covered. Plus, a new bridal registry lets you bag crystal, china, and even bath and body goods.
