Kent Rathbun’s Texas Tottie Recipe

No matter your political preference, the presidential election has you feeling blue.

Celebrate or commiserate with a Texas Tottie created by local superstar chef Kent Rathbun. The warm and fuzzy cocktail is a twist on the hot toddy, an old-fashioned concoction purported to cure whatever ails you.

Depending on your mood, it might be just what the doctor ordered.

Texas Tottie

Ingredients
1 cinnamon stick
5½ oz. hot water
1½ oz. Don Julio Anejo tequila
1 oz. pomegranate liqueur
¾ oz. apple cider
¾ oz. Disaronno liqueur

1. Put cinnamon stick in coffee mug and fill halfway with hot water.

2. Mix other ingredients in shaker.

3. Pour mix into the mug.

4. Pour the remaining hot water into the mug.

5. Garnish with a twist of lemon.
