First Things First

First-Time-Free Fitness Classes

Try, try, and try again. Especially since the first class is on them.

Get the sweat band back together at Harmony Studios: Pick from Pilates mat and apparatus offerings; try the body, breath, spine, muscle, and fascia moves of Grace Somatomorphic Technique; or shimmy through the School of Erotic Arts and Dance classes. Drop a line to reserve a spot.

Think yoga and spinning mecca Yas is AWOL (always west of Lincoln)? Not anymore. Now Eastsiders can sit and spin or stretch it out at the recently opened Silver Lake digs and OC-ers can hit East Costa Mesa. First-timers can find a freebie pass online.

It’s hour time in Brentwood. Newcomers can choose their own sweaty adventure (Core60 Pilates, Turn60 Cycling, or Burn60 Training) at the Burn60 fitness center. Mention DailyCandy when you call to sign up.

A little of this (NASM Optimum Performance Training, Pilates, yoga) and a little of that (ballet and jazz techniques) make for an intense Controlled Burn Fitness group sesh. Check the schedule and just show up; newbies always check it out for free.

Circuit Works is going to take a minute — but that’s it. Jump from aerobic exercise to anaerobic exercise every 60 seconds while you’re at the Venice locale. Print out the free pass online and give the studio a buzz to book a workout.

Go figure.
