Emergency Procedure Plan #7654C
If faced with the closure of legendary Richard Hayler Colour Salon, the women of Dallas deserve a swift response. In case of disaster (or a crap economy), the following steps are to be taken:
1. Agents (and senior colorists) Deanna Sidley and Kevin Koch will spring into action, immediately setting up Dk Salon in a chic temporary space down the street.
2. Potted orchids, plush midcentury chairs, a mirrored reservations desk, and other emergency supplies will be on hand.
3. Nearly two dozen ex-Hayler pros will join the relief effort, ensuring a rapid response team of stylists, colorists, and certified hair extension gurus.
4. The pop-up salon will be buzzing until a more permanent space can be found.
5. Clients will proceed without caution.
Dk Salon, 3000 Carlisle Street, suite 210, Waterford Plaza (214-969-9011).

I had a horrible experience at the Dk Salon (referred to as Sidley Koch when I was there). The coloring was mediocre at best, the salon is run down (disclaimer: I'm told it is a temporary location), and the staff members were mildly friendly. My colorist told me that she would not be blow drying my hair, but she could grab someone to do it. I told her I did not want to leave the salon with wet hair in 40 degree weather. She failed to mention that a simple hair dry was 35 or that if I wanted, I could blow dry it myself. I will never return to this salon, and I would discourage anyone from going there unless you want to leave disappointed and duped into spending extra, unnecessary money.
