Jack White and Loretta Lynn would like to know: Portland, Oregon, and sloe gin fizz, if that ain’t love then tell me what is?
Dallas, Texas, and a splash of absinthe, perhaps?
Test the hypothesis at mixologist Sten Lilja’s Friday Cocktail Clinic. Starting today, the former Bungalow 8 maestro (among other hip NYC joints) shares recipes, tips, and sips inspired by ’20s classics.
At each class, Lilja will teach tricks of the trade with liquors such as Cherry Heering, St-Germain, and absinthe. He’ll also help students develop their palates and create tailor-made cocktails on the spot.
Drop in any time during the nine-week series. No reservations required, but designated drivers are recommended.
Just in case you and whiskey get frisky.
Classes take place on the second and last Fridays of each month, 5-9 p.m., at Park Cities Prime Steakhouse, 8411 Preston Road, Preston Center (214-691-7763 or parkcitiesprime.com).
