Laser-sharp vision. Comfortable kicks. Old flannels, feathered caps, antler wall hangings.
Necessary accoutrements for a successful hunt. Especially when your target is Dolly Python.
The East Dallas vintage shop has a new booth run by three pros from Ahab Bowen, Uptown’s longstanding retro clothing boutique.
The focus is more home than fashion, with loads of vintage vinyl, decades-old dishes, ’50s light fixtures, and antique books (including a 1947 edition of Romeo and Juliet). But you’ll still find women’s shoes ($20 blue snakeskin kitten heels are a steal), racks of leather clutches, ’60s and ’70s costume jewelry, studded leather belts, and Handsome Gal clothing (jumpers, zipper dresses, and booty shorts by local Erin Kelly).
Old framed photos of Kelly’s dad hunting and shadow-box art featuring turkey feathers from his winnings are also for sale.
Give it a shot.
Available at Dolly Python, 1916 North Haskell Avenue (214-887-3434 or dollypython.net).
