Fleetwood’s Kit Kat Beach Bike Rentals

Beach cruisers remind you of Mario, that sweaty, shirtless guy patrolling spring breakers in Padre.

Not at Fleetwood’s Kit Kat, the new boutique near SMU that sells and rents the classic SoCal bikes — from ’40s, ’50s, and ’60s beauties to new pimped-out styles with fancy paint jobs.

On Fridays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2, the owner hosts free rides around town. Show up 30 minutes early to stake your wheels (hot pink goes fast), then follow him down the Katy Trail to Victory Park where the group snacks before heading back.

The boutique itself stocks vintage Western shirts, graphic tees, retro home furnishings, stickers (they’re free!), and homemade cupcakes on weekends. Five percent of proceeds from bike sales and rentals benefit Friends of Katy Trail.
