Yes, he does exist.

His name is Bao Tran Quang, the French native behind Inwood Village Nailery. (He and his wife, Sara, used to own long-standing Preston Nailery nearby.)

The ten-seat salon keeps things clean and simple, offering only manis and pedis (no artificial nails, ladies) from technicians clad in chic all black. Decor is just as polished: dark orange concrete floors, black furniture, and groovy wallpaper handpicked by local designer Ashley Emerson (so you don’t have to ask, it’s Clarence House).

Wine flows for free, and the pros are happy to help customers to their cars to avoid paint smudge snafus. While the nailery does accept walk-ins, it’s better to book ahead.

With such perfection, dates go fast.
