Cheap dates are hip these days. But picnicking with a million mosquitoes at White Rock Lake? Not so much. 

Which is why we’re inviting you to DailyCandy’s free outdoor movie series. We’ve corralled Angelika Dallas and USA Film Festival for the subscribers-only festivities (sign up on site; first twenty newbies get a gift). Summer screenings start Thursday with Drop Dead Gorgeous, followed by Election (July 23) and Sugar & Spice (August 20).

Mockingbird Station’s getting in on the act, too: Vapiano and Urban Taco will be serving foodie specials (free chips and salsa trio, yo) 5-8 p.m., while Movida is offering 30 percent off new fashion arrivals (in all cases, just mention DailyCandy).

Anytime after 6, hit the outdoor pavilion for complimentary Grey Goose cocktails at Pure and a comfy seat from West Elm. Once the sun goes down, grab a chair (or bring your own), sit back, and relax.

And forget how much things bite.
