Bowls and munchies go hand in hand.
Especially at Uptown’s new Split Peas Soup Cafe.
The El Paso-based mini-chain packs fifteen savory, creamy, made-fresh-daily potages — from chicken noodle, clam chowder, and lobster bisque to fire-roasted tomato, butternut squash, and, of course, split pea (with ham, too).
But man cannot live on soup alone, so lunch is all about the combos: sandwiches, salads, and wraps. At dinner, a cup of any flavor is included with every entree (shrimp fettuccine, seared duck breast, steak with mushroom blue cheese sauce). Desserts include ten flavors of gelato and cheesecake (raspberry mango, the stuff of dreams).
And just for the Dallas branch, a martini bar and outdoor patio with water fountain and palm trees.
Sounds souper.
