The mini California fro yo chain recently opened in Inwood Village. (Hillcrest Avenue and Uptown outposts are coming soon.) Just grab one of two jumbo cup sizes (splashed with a charming frilly tree and hearts logo) and self-serve the creamy treat to your liking.

A dozen flavors are always on rotation, including blackberry, strawberry, and raspberry all made with organic nonfat milk. Fans swear by tart Italian original as well as Belgian dark chocolate crafted from premium ingredients like Ghirardelli’s.

Toppings run the gamut from not-so-healthy gummy bears and peanut butter cups to organic items like granola, fruits, and nuts.
