You’re not big on topping your tacos with greens. (Fatty sour cream and shredded cheddar? That’s another story.)
But Good 2 Go Taco is good for you without tasting like it. The tiny gourmet taqueria sits inside Green Spot Market & Fuels, the healthy convenience store and biodiesel gas station near White Rock Lake.
Look for it in the corner, right behind the almond milk and Gu energy gels. Owners Jeana Johnson and Colleen O’Hare (former chefs at Toulouse and the Green Room — wink, wink) are rolling out savory styles like pulled pork with blue cheese slaw, chorizo with mashed potatoes, and sloppy joe tacos made with the house’s grass-fed beef.
But instead of flour tortillas, they’ve opted for flatbreads made with healthy sprouted grain and hemp. They offer breakfast tacos, too, like bacon, potato, tomato, and fresh spinach.
Make Popeye proud.
