So get involved in Dwell with Dignity, a budding charity that refurbishes Dallas digs for drug-free families facing poverty and homelessness.

The nonprofit’s goal is to help broods escape destitution through inspiring design. Sound far-fetched? Nesting in a happy home empowers people and motivates them to strive for a better life.

You can help in several ways: Donate unwanted furniture and home accessories in usable condition or volunteer to paint a dresser or install a curtain rod. If time isn’t on your side, pick up a Fresh Start candle (all proceeds go to the organization).
