Your digs could give a frat house a run for its beer money.
Ditch the dinged-up Ikea bookshelves and head to 4 Love, a new interior design studio and furniture shop in Oak Cliff. Twentysomething owners Ashley Mileger and Shannon Halbert won’t turn you into a stuffy adult overnight, but they do promise to upgrade your pad in a way that’s “affordable, modern, and fun.”
Services run the gamut from full-blown interior design (prices start at just $1.25 per square foot) to simple staging, accessorizing, and custom drapery and bedding. Our favorite part: They specialize in reworking existing pieces, which might mean lacquering an old dresser (cue the tomato red paint) or reupholstering that ragtag rocker Gran gave you.
If you don’t have something to tweak, the ladies sell a small selection of one-of-a-kind finds, including mirrored side tables, graffiti-covered chairs, and original artwork starting at just $99 by local talents like Fort Worth’s Stephen Selzler.
It’s totally buzz worthy.
