Justin Theroux and Douglas Little present Sometimes Comes Mother, Sometimes Comes Wolf

Sometimes Comes Mother, Sometimes Comes Wolf, a collection of the ghastly occult and fantastically eerie, opens today for your viewing pleasure at the Adidas Originals Shoe Box (an installation space in a LES parking lot).

We stopped by the party last night to check out the scene (which turned out to be just as miscellaneous as the exhibit).

Curated by foppish twosome Douglas Little and Justin Theroux (along with Scott Campbell and Obscura Antiques), visitors guide themselves through a series of rooms filled with creepy-yet-striking ephemera: a corner filled with vintage ventriloquist dolls; a wall collection of ancient-looking scissors; a series of framed butterflies.

Sometimes Comes Mother, Sometimes Comes Wolf, Adidas Originals Shoe Box, Broome Street between Essex and Ludlow Streets. Thru February 9. Public viewing daily, noon-8 p.m.
