The Obscene Cuteness of Maxine Dillon

Moseyed on down to Aero & Co Sunday afternoon, where shop girl and local designer Maxine Dillon played hostess at her fall trunk show fiesta. Her eponymous new line -- out now for spring -- comprises darling jumpers, blouses, and wee little frocks.
A sneak peek at fall reveals a fitted bell jacket, sailor top, slender knit dresses, and a stunning cornflower blue silk charmeuse blouse and cropped vest. Dillon herself was decked in the cheerful hue (top and tights), wearing a series of excellent silk cord necklaces made of leftover fabric from the factory floor. (Reduce! Reuse! Recycle!) DJ Brendan (The Antarcticans) acted as turntablist in the shop, spinning some indie tunes as locals sifted through the racks. Lucky for everyone else, the chips, salsa, and frosty beverages kept our grimy hands from taking the whole collection home.
