Grooming Accessory as Portal to Musical Genius
RINGSIDE
Inspired by the rag-tag choir of sexy comb-playing sirens (see: Kreiling & Dodd post below), here are step-by-steps for creating your own musical instrument from a simple haircomb.
What You'll Need:
- toothed haircomb (try to find some different sizes)
- waxed paper (try parchment and tissue paper)
Instructions:
- Cut off a small piece of wax paper the same length as the comb.
- Holding the comb teeth side down, fold the paper over the comb so that it covers both sides.
- Hold wax paper against the sides of the comb but keep it loose so that the paper can vibrate freely.
- Place side of the comb to your mouth so that the paper is between your lips and the comb. Hum or sing to your heart's delight against the paper and comb. Adjust your lips or the volume of your humming to alter the amplified sound.
So easy to keep in your purse or pocket! Entertain on a whim at parties, in the ladies room, in the supermarket checkout line!
