Conflux Festival Opening Party

Art and China’s Revolution
What & Why: Creating art during China’s Cultural Revolution? Man, that must’ve been rough. But three-decades’ worth of oil paintings, woodblock prints, drawings, and everyday objects have been collected for the groundbreaking exhibit. And you can pose in front of a ten-foot sculpture of Mao’s jacket.
When & Where: Fri., 6-9 p.m., at Asia Society Museum, 725 Park Ave., at 70th St. (212-288-6400). It’s free!
