Fashion Stays Up Past Bedtime

WORD ON THE STREET

It’s Fashion’s Night Out. You care because:

a) 700 designers, boutiques, and department stores will host, cater, amuse, and delight you with sales, snacks, and celebrity sightings.
b) you enjoy the drink.
c) it’s in the neighborhood (yours and everybody else’s).

Us? We get high off those random, casual, only-in-NY moments. Like running into Juicy Couture’s tuxedoed waiters on skateboards, watching Lovely Day cafe rise from the ashes (at Unis), and beating Stuart Weitzman at ping-pong — if only to have a story to tell at Bird’s all-girl block party.

Start a bike brigade behind the Shipley & Halmos boys (they’ll be riding vintage models from Bowery Lane Bicycles).

Sit for a portrait with photog Arthur Elgort (as long as you drop $2,500 at Dior). Get Vogue’s September issue signed by Charlize Theron.
